ABOUT•COOKIE CUTTERS
Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids is a niche hair salon franchise focused on children ages 12 and under that provides an interactive, stress-free experience that is fun for kids. Cookie Cutters began in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1994, but was purchased by Neal and Alexis Courtney in 2014 and thereafter became headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have recently been listed on Forbes 500 fastest growing franchises in both 2018-2019, having scaled from 35 locations in 2016 to over 100 locations by 2018.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
As marketing director, I launched a 12 month marketing and creative design initiative for a new franchise that experienced exponential growth over an 18 month span, including print, radio, online, digital and social media campaigns for current franchisee support and new franchisee onboarding. I was integral in the creation of a marketing training system that was launched to over 80+ franchise units and supported by 1:1 weekly training calls for additional technical support. Since launching the marketing and digital asset creation program, the franchise has been featured in the Forbes 500 fastest growing franchises in both 2018 and 2019, with the growth metrics jumping from breaking into the top 500 in 2018, jumping to the 147th spot for 2019.
Oversaw implementation of a brand style guide + brand strategy company-wide across 80+ franchises. Re-designed collateral, in-store signage, promotions, online banners, profile icons and illustration. Added an additional 1000+ pieces of digital design assets to the corporate library over a 12 month initiative.
